Fitting overlapping fields of view, and their objects, together
Definition
A slide is scanned as a grid of FOVsLoading..., and the stage never lands exactly where it was told to. In TissueFAXS, stitching fixes the positions: its image matching method finds the pixel shift between each pair of neighboring FOVs, using their overlap. In StrataQuest, layers set to Stitch objects join the pieces of an object cut by a FOV border into one global event.
