Magnify™ Expansion Kit

Physical sample expansion for nanoscale insight on standard microscopes

The Magnify™ Expansion Kit enables researchers to increase effective imaging resolution by physically expanding biological specimens in a controlled, isotropic manner. Using a proprietary hydrogel chemistry, biomolecules are anchored and uniformly separated, allowing fine structural details to be resolved on conventional widefield, confocal, or light sheet microscopes. The workflow is designed to be reproducible and compatible with existing imaging infrastructure.

The Magnify™ Expansion Kit extends the practical resolution of standard microscopes without adding optical complexity and high-end equipment costs.

Functionality on a practical level

Resolution beyond the diffraction limit: Expands samples up to ~11x in pure water  without requiring specialized super-resolution optics.

Isotropic, controlled expansion: Preserves spatial relationships across the sample and supports accurate structural and quantitative analysis.

Broad sample compatibility: Validated for cultured cells, organoids, freshly preserved tissue, and FFPE sections.

What the Magnify™ Expansion Kit supports

Biomolecule preservation: Proteins, lipids, and fluorophores remain anchored within the hydrogel network and enable robust post-expansion labeling and imaging.

Flexible staining strategies: Compatible with pre-expansion and post-expansion immunolabeling workflows.

Imaging platforms: Can be imaged using widefield fluorescence, spinning disk confocal, point-scanning confocal, and light sheet systems.

Efficient workflows: The expansion process is completed within a single day. Standardized reagents and protocols designed for consistent outcomes.

For researchers extending the capabilities of their microscopes: The Magnify™ Expansion Kit integrates smoothly into existing imaging workflows. It is well suited for labs seeking higher resolution while maintaining flexibility, reproducibility, and control over experimental design.
