For each atlas-defined brain region, quantification can extract:
- Cell counts — total cells, marker-positive cells, percent positive
- Intensity — mean fluorescence intensity, integrated density
- Area — tissue area, region coverage
- Morphometry — cell size, shape, and distribution statistics
These measurements flow directly into statistical analysis — ANOVA across treatment groups, correlation with behavioral data, or dose-response modeling.
